The 2019 Intermittent Fasting Challenge

Fast forward 8 years and I'm a wife and mother now. I had no idea I'd started this blog :-D ! With motherhood came the pile up in pounds though I must admit that the kilos are not totally due to the baby.

I would oscillate between 54kgs and 60 kgs pre-baby which was still considered slightly overweight, but i'm now firmly in the 60s, 65 kgs to be precise. During pregnancy I hit 80 kgs but thank God for breast feeding because it helped me shed the extra kilos.

My main focus is to reach my pre-baby weight of 51 kgs and eventually get a waistline. As I thought of the best strategy to do this without shocking my family, I stumbled upon intermittent fasting as a way of losing weight. the only fasting I had been familiar with was for religious purposes and since its a discipline I've practised on and off for years it seemed doable.

So I started the fasting exactly ten days ago.  I settled on the 18/6 method which gives me a 6 hour eating window where I attempt to get all my calories then fasting for 18 hours.
